Connecting With Communities

I want to do it all. From photography to writing to vertical video, I aspire to be as versatile in my skills as possible. If there is a need in the newsroom, I happily jump at the opportunity to support my team in whatever role I can.

My favorite aspect of journalism is getting to connect with other humans and having the privilege of telling their stories. As a visual journalist for Carnegie-Knight's News21 Fellowship, I walked over 40 miles across California with a protest group. Countless hours on the road allowed me to get to know these marchers deeply, share in their exhaustion and produce a rich visual and written story I could not have otherwise.

Moments like that remind me why I have chosen to pursue this profession, and inspire a passion within me I have found nowhere else.

I graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor's degree from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at ASU and a minor in sustainability. I am pursuing my graduate degree in mass communication through the Accelerated Master's Program at Cronkite and plan to graduate in Spring 2026.
